We have a son that is preemie who is 3 months old in the North Dade/South Broward County area.

We would love to find a nanny that will have this position for at least three years. After three years, the hours will be minimized to accommodate pre-school.

 Nanny Duties and Responsibilities

 Tend to the general and basic needs of the baby while providing supervision to ensure the baby’s safety in day-to-day activities.

Day-To-Day Activities will be planned out by parents on a weekly basis.

Engage baby in age-appropriate activities—including free play, arts and crafts, games, and reading—to encourage the baby’s intellectual development Model appropriate social behaviors to encourage child’s social and emotional development, such as developing empathy and cultivating interpersonal relationships

 Teach the baby safe behavior based on environmental context; for example, seek adult assistance to cross the street Monitor the child’s behavior for irregularities pertaining to their health and well-being as well as their physical, emotional, and mental development

In case of illness or injury, provide necessary medical attention; for example, transport the child to a doctor or hospital, take the child’s temperature, and administer medications as directed Instruct the child on proper health and personal care habits, such as diet, exercise, and toilet behavior; provide assistance as needed Assign chores as appropriate to teach the children responsibility, self-control, and self-confidence Praise the child for targeted behaviors to encourage appropriate conduct

Create a safe environment for the child by removing hazards and enforcing appropriate boundaries

Perform housekeeping tasks related to the child’s care Meet with the parents regularly to reflect on and plan for the child’s activities and development

Occasionally tend to dogs if time permits Nanny Requirements and

Qualifications:

 Certification in infant and child first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Proficiency in computer technology, including calendar and scheduling software, web applications, and word processing software

Fluent in spoken and written English Understanding of child psychology and stages of development 1 to 3 years of prior experience in childcare settings (day care center, nursery, babysitting, nanny)

Must be pet friendly (Two small dogs)

Must have a valid driver’s license, (having your own vehicle is considered an asset)

Preferred Registered Nurse or Retired RN NIC-U experience

Position Availability Date and Time: Monday-Friday 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.

Flexibility to work extended hours or on the weekend, but we’ll provide the additional hours well in advance.
